The Best of Vail Skiing For a Fun Vacation

There are so many things to do in the quaint town of Vail Colorado…

you’ll wish you had booked a longer vacation! When people think of Vail Colorado, they immediately think of Vail skiing: swooshing down the powdery mountain on one of the many slopes in the seven bowls of Vail Mountain.

But a vacation in this area is more than just skiing.

You should get off the slopes and explore the area! Vail skiing, of course, can be your primary form of entertainment, but there are other options, too. Your Vail skiing vacation can include a great day in Snowmass Colorado, skiing down Snowmass mountain, eating the famous Snowmass chili, taking in the sites around the area. Snowmass is less than 2 hours away from Vail so you can do some morning skiing from the front step of your Vail lodging, head to Snowmass, then head back for an evening of Vail skiing before hitting some of Vail’s legendary nightspots for dancing, drinking, and meeting other people. After a great day at Snowmass, why not venture further the next day… to Aspen. Aspen Colorado is very close to Snowmass and, in fact, you can ski on Snowmass Mountain from either Aspen or Snowmass.

Yet another great day would be to head to Antlers Colorado for more skiing.

You’ll love Antlers Colorado springs and you might even be tempted to stay at an Antlers resort for a night. But if you’re like most people, you head back for some Vail skiing to finish off your vacation. Be sure to eat the great cuisine at any of the Vail Colorado restaurants in town.

Then book your plane tickets (you’ll fly into Eagle County airport and you’ll need to take a shuttle to Vail). Drop off your bags at your hotel, then head to the slopes with your skis. It doesn’t matter what level of skill you are, you’ll enjoy a skiing vacation because there are slopes on one of the seven bowls for everyone! The front side is for beginners, the back bowls are for experts. The Blue Sky Basin is for the rest of us. Also, ski schools and ski equipment rentals are available. You’ll want to go back again each year for more Vail skiing.
